Good to know

What is a trial card for children?

The trial card allows your child to try skiing before committing to a full ski course. If your child enjoys it, only the difference to the regular children's ski course price will be due.

Lunch supervision starting from level K3:

In levels K3-K5+, ski course groups go together to lunch in the ski area. Therefore, lunch is automatically included.

Which ski pass is suitable for my child?

  • Birth year 2017 and younger: Ski Arlberg Snowman season pass.
  • 1st ski day children’s area and older (birth year 2017): Practice lift pass.
  • For all children’s groups up to level K5+: 3 Valleys ski pass.

  • Don't forget to purchase a valid ski pass before the course starts.
  • Do you need equipment for the little ones? Visit the sports shop Jug Sports Arlberg right next to the ski school office.
  • Health: Ensure that the children drink and eat enough before the ski course.

Difficulty Level

Classification levels for ski courses

K1: Beginners:

First time on skis? We make our first attempts in our practice area, the Salober Children's Land. Here, they learn to ski straight, the snowplow technique, and how to connect turns.

 

K2: Advanced Beginners:

Some skiing experience in the children's area, but turning hasn't worked out yet? We'll continue from there and review braking and solidify turning on beginner slopes.

 

K2+: Advanced Beginners:

Can you brake and turn independently on beginner slopes? Here, we will learn how to use the lift and the correct technique for the first runs in the ski area.

 

K3: Slightly Advanced:

The first runs on easy blue slopes were a challenge? Here, controlled turns on blue slopes will become child's play.

 

K3+: Slightly Advanced:

Can you master blue slopes in a snowplow? Here, we will eliminate the snowplow position and increase speed.

 

K4: Advanced:

Ready for the red slopes? Here, we will practice parallel skiing and the use of poles.

 

K4+: Advanced:

More technique on red slopes? Here, we will zoom across the entire ski area with short and long turns.

 

K5: Top Skiers:

Black slopes...

Amenities

Ski Course Equipment List

  • Helmet: Proper fit is required.
  • Skis: For beginners, a maximum height of chest level.
  • Ski boots: Should be somewhat broken in beforehand.
  • Poles: Required starting from level K4.
  • Goggles: Sunglasses or ski goggles.
  • Clothing: Weather-appropriate and temperature-appropriate, possibly spare clothing.
  • Gloves: Important for hand protection, preferably mittens.
  • Buff or scarf: For wind and sun protection.
  • Valid lift ticket and ski course ticket.
